Hi, I’m Nicole Kreisberg.

I’m an author, sociologist, and professor whose work focuses on U.S. immigration, education, and labor markets. My research examines how institutions produce inequality—especially for U.S. immigrants.

I write and teach about these issues for academic, policy, and public audiences, drawing on qualitative interviews, statistical data analyses, and experiments to make complex processes legible.

Alongside my research and writing, I am an experienced editor and writing teacher. I work with scholars and book writers across the U.S.
